Justice David Prosser: Probably shouldn't be granted a concealed carry permit.

What a special Saturday morning!  While the State of New York is recognizing the equal rights of gay couples by legalizing same sex marriage, newly re-elected “Gentleman Bachelor” Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser is choking his female colleagues behind closed doors.  Perhaps if his GOP handlers gave him an opportunity to come out of the closet, the somewhat ambiguously gay Justice Prosser might stop lashing out violently at women.  This could very well be all about his personal frustration. But seriously, his alleged actions are egregious and he clearly demonstrates that he is unable to conduct himself professionally. Even more concerning is his apparent seething contempt for women.
Bill Lueders writes an excellent article detailing the incident at Isthmus

They say an argument that occurred before the court’s release of a decision upholding a bill to curtail the collective bargaining rights of public employees culminated in a physical altercation in the presence of other justices. (Justice Ann Walsh)Bradley purportedly asked Prosser to leave her office, whereupon Prosser grabbed Bradley by the neck with both hands.

Justice Prosser, contacted Friday afternoon by the Center, declined comment: “I have nothing to say about it.” He repeated this statement after the particulars of the story — including the allegation that there was physical contact between him and Bradley — were described. He did not confirm or deny any part of the reconstructed account.

On Justice Prosser being gay. Let me make this clear: I am not stating that David Prosser is gay. In fact, I’m sure the gay community would probably reject him. I am simply commenting on rumors that have been discussed for quite some time. They may be true, they may not. But in my sole  opinion, I vote David Prosser the Supreme Court Justice Most Likely to Be Arrested in A Truck Stop Restroom, While Tapping his foot and assuming a “wide stance”.

The fact that you connect even a possibllty of being a closeted gay man with the violent action of choking a woman is a form of homophobia and that dealing with his oeing in the closet has something to do with violence aginst women is actually an attack on closeted gay men. are you suggesting that the difficult task for said men to deal with all of the issues that come with being closeted and in turmoil about their sexuality should now deal with your assumption that said being in the closet now equals an inherent disposition to create violence against women. Perhaps someone that has a problem with being a violent has little to do with being gay. Hmmm, me thinks smells homophobia disgusied as social justice. Derwin K. Leigh

    • Derwin,

Thanks for your comment and concern. I assure you that my comment wasn’t intended to disparage homosexuals in any way at all. My intent was to criticize a supreme court justice who has a clear record of ruling againts the rights of GLBT community while mentioning the rumors surrounding Justice Prosser. Of course I believe that there is no connection between being a closeted gay man and engaging in violence against women. I do believe that, through his own actions, David Prosser shows a predisposition to act violently toward women and generaly holds them in contempt. I can also see how you may have arrived at your opinion about my post and I apologize if this post offended you. Truthfully, it wasn’t intended to dive deeply into the issue of closeted homosexuality, rather, it is intended to point out his actions, and touch on the irony of the rumors and his anti gay positions. It was my intention to draw comparisons between prosser and Larry Craig for comedic effect. That’s it. Perhaps I could have been more clear in this post. Apologies to you.

I don’t think Justice Prosser is gay. I think he has festering blisters in his vagina (like Lindsey Graham) which make him prone to choke colleagues.
